    Our Pharma Solutions team partners with leading pharmaceutical and biotech organisations to support clinical trials and accelerate the development of innovative therapies.

    About the Role

    As a Business Development Specialist, you will play a key role in driving growth by identifying new opportunities, building strong client relationships, and supporting the conversion of prospects into long-term partnerships.

    Working within a collaborative and fast-paced environment, you will engage with internal and external stakeholders, contribute to commercial strategy, and help position Perspectum at the forefront of clinical trial innovation.

    Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

    • Identifying and developing new business opportunities across pharma, biotech, and CRO organisations
    • Building and nurturing relationships with prospective clients and partners
    • Supporting the preparation of proposals, bids, and commercial materials
    • Conducting market and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities
    • Maintaining accurate client and prospect data within internal systems
    • Representing Perspectum at international conferences and industry events
    • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support successful project delivery

    About You

    We are looking for a proactive and commercially minded individual who enjoys building relationships and thrives in a dynamic environment.

    You may already have experience in business development or be looking to transition into a BD role from a related background.

    You will ideally bring:

    • Experience in business development, sales, or client-facing roles
    • Exposure to clinical trials, pharma, biotech, CROs, or medical devices (desirable, not essential)
    • A degree in life sciences, business, or a related field
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
    • A proactive mindset with a strong interest in healthcare innovation

    We welcome candidates from adjacent backgrounds (e.g. clinical research, consulting, scientific roles) who are motivated to develop a career in business development—training and support will be provided.
