Are you a dynamic leader with a strong background in clinical management?
We are seeking an Operations Manager to lead our Community Diagnostics Centre (CDC) both strategically and operationally. In this role, you will manage a multidisciplinary team of managers, office, and clinical staff, ensuring that our centre has the capacity and capability to provide community-based diagnostics as required by local commissioners.
About the Role
You will oversee a diverse team, fostering a collaborative environment across managers, office, and clinical staff. A significant part of your role will be driving a wider programme of engagement with the local community, healthcare providers, and social care providers.
In addition to strategic leadership and team management, you will promote business growth while supporting internal departments such as resource planning and logistics to maintain a well-led mobile business. You will ensure excellent governance and adherence to external regulatory standards, demonstrating effective people management skills, customer focus, and the ability to manage change.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
- Conduct clinical activities at the CDC in strict adherence to CQC regulations, ensuring the highest standards of compliance and quality.
- Deliver direct patient care with utmost professionalism, performing procedures such as phlebotomy, cannulation, and spirometry while consistently upholding patient dignity and confidentiality.
- Facilitate effective communication with patients, caregivers, and the multidisciplinary team, breaking down barriers to provide exceptional service and foster a supportive environment.
- Take responsibility for the development and maintenance of new systems/policies as required.
Monitor the performance, efficiency, resource utilisation and quality across all diagnostic modalities.
This is a part-time, fixed-term position for a duration of 6 months, requiring 7.5 hours of work per week.
About you
You will have a strong background in clinical management with experience in multidisciplinary, clinical, academic, and/or commercial environments. You will have the ability build successful networks and form collaborations with other organisations aligned to the CDC’s vision. We are looking for a driven, target-oriented individual capable of ensuring excellent governance and compliance with regulatory standards. Flexibility is crucial, as you must be able to adapt to the changing needs of the team, care pathways, and service development projects.
This role is ideal for a dedicated and adaptable individual who excels in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and is passionate about community-based healthcare.
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join our team in a senior role within the healthcare sector. The ideal candidate will possess a relevant professional qualification, such as nursing, radiography, or physiology, and have a proven track record of Continuing Professional Development through both formal and informal avenues. We require substantial clinical experience, ideally with recent involvement in a senior or managerial capacity. Additionally, familiarity with Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards and practices is essential.
